About the Group
FlowNice was created in 2001. They hail from Santa Fe, New Mexico and incorporate the sounds of southwestern U.S. with the foundations of Hip Hop.
In 2005 FlowNice released "Listen Closely".
After the Listen Closely album Luke/Funkshin returned to California to finish school leaving DJ Seda C Seamless at the the studio contemplating life, music and McDonalds dollar menu items.
Initially, Seda C began to work on what was going to be a instrumental/turntablist style Album something like RJD2 or DJ Shadow would do. During the downtime, local musicians and friends would kick around ideas and song concepts over unused beats in the FlowNice catalogue. After about 3 songs were recorded and rotated on the local scene and mix tapes the group of artists decided to develop the songs into an EP showcasing the talent.
The FlowNice and Friends EP was released in September 2009.
